At Maristone Senior Living, our communities are more than bricks and mortar. We know it's not enough to just build communities -- you have to be a part of the community you build in. That's why Maristone Senior Living began On Modern Age in partnership with WSMV-Channel 4 (NBC) and Mature Lifestyles Magazine.
We are honored to report that Maristone Senior Living was granted a prestigious "Best Of The Best Award" from the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) for outstanding marketing and community outreach through the On Modern Age media platforms.
The annual "Best of the Best Awards" are the assisted living industry's "Oscars". Chosen by committee, it's ALFA's way of recognizing senior living companies for the most innovative and operational excellence strategies of the past year.
Maristone Executives were presented with the award during a special ceremony at the 2009 annual ALFA convention in Philadelphia. We are also profiled in the industry publication, Assisted Living Executive Magazine.
ALFA is the largest national association exclusively dedicated to professionally operated assisted living communities. Considered to be the "watchdog" of the industry, ALFA's member-driven programs promote business and operational excellence through national conferences, research, publications and executive networks, as well as work to influence public policy.
At Maristone Senior Living, we will always strive to be the "Best of the Best", and fulfill our mission of bringing the finest in Senior Living to all of Middle Tennessee.

On Modern Age Has New Airtime!
On Modern Age can now be seen every Thursday during the six-o-clock newscast on WSMV-Channel 4 (NBC). The segments produced and hosted by Maristone Senior Living's Karen Shayne, switched to airing in prime time in order to reach even more Middle Tennesseans.
Now going into its second year, On Modern Age aims to educate, inform and entertain; providing valuable and often life-saving information. If you miss a segment you can go to www.maristoneseniorliving.com and watch on-line. A companion newspaper column is also printed in Mature Lifestyles Magazine.
Our Beauty is More Than Skin Deep

At the Maristone of Franklin just as much care is put into what you can't see as what you can. We are the first assisted living community in the region to use Aercon blocks to form the cornerstone of our building.
What's so special about this? The revolutionary concrete block is environmentally-friendly, controls sounds and is fire resistant. At The Maristone, we are consistently looking for the best products and the ways to bring to you our "Maristone Standards of Service."
Maristone Senior Living is Making Magic!

Maristone Senior Living is happy to report that our non-profit--Maristone Magic Memories--has been granted its 501 (c) 3 status. This means that we can add to our mission of enhancing the lives of all Middle Tennessee Seniors.
We know dreams don't fade away. We also know that many of us go through our lives putting them on hold for the benefit of others. That's why we created Maristone Magic Memories.
It's our wish-granting program where qualified applicants will receive a "dream come true". Whether it's money to meet basic needs like paying bills---or the dream of taking center stage--Maristone Magic Memories will bring joy to those seniors who have spent their lives bringing joy to others.
Jamie St. Claire will serve as the Executive Director. "The idea for Maristone Magic Memories came when I first heard my Grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic and lung cancer," says St. Claire. "I began to think of all the things I wanted to do with her in her remaining time. Being in the assisted living industry, I wanted to expand on that for all the seniors of Middle Tennessee who are so bravely fighting a terminal illness. I am pleased that Maristone Senior Living has created Maristone Magic Memories and honored to serve as its Executive Director. "
St. Claire is also Maristone Senior Living's Director of Quality Aging where she is in charge of Maristone Transitions and ensuring that all seniors in our communities transition easily into their home and any life changes that occur afterward.
