Located at 347 Riverside Drive, The Maristone of Franklin is the first jewel in the triple crown of three luxury assisted living and Alzheimer's communities. The others are planned for Mount Juliet at Providence, and Fairvue Plantation of Gallatin.
The Maristone Communities will provide seniors with an exceptional choice when it comes to luxury retirement and assisted/Alzheimer's living. Maristone Communities also offer specialized adult day care to non-residents. The first phase of construction at each property will consist of a 41-unit assisted living community, a 13 unit Alzheimer's care community and a dedicated area to care for nine adult day care clients.
Says CEO and partner Karen Shayne, "We have designed each property around our philosophy that a change in life doesn't have to mean a change in lifestyle." Each unit is luxuriously appointed yet senior friendly. There are four floor plans to choose from; a studio, studio deluxe, along with the luxury one and two bedrooms. A Maristone Community will have a spa, wellness center (complete with the latest in exercise equipment), Internet café, library, media room, soda shop, and beauty salon. The three tiered dining program features the exceptional casual fine dining restaurant. It is complimented by the Maristone bistro style outdoor patio leading into the beautifully landscaped grounds.
"Maristone Senior Living prides itself on being more than a beautiful building with great facilities. "We know that to be exceptional doesn't just mean providing exceptional aesthetics," says Shayne. "More importantly we believe in the safety of our residents, our commitment to care and in offering special programming. We have conducted careful research on the latest advances in building materials. All properties will be constructed using Aercon block, a non-combustible material that provides the highest UL fire ratings in the industry."
Locally owned and operated, Maristone Senior Living was formed with the goal of serving the senior population far beyond providing exceptional and luxurious long-term housing. "Maristone Senior Living" wants to be a community partner," says Shayne. "To do this we have developed unique programs for our residents. We are also forming strategic relationships that will serve all of Middle Tennessee's senior population."
One of those partnerships is the "On Modern Age" segments produced and hosted by Shayne and seen weekly on WSMV-Channel 4. "As the head of a company dedicated to providing the best in retirement and assisted living I was looking for a way to reach out to those who may not directly need our senior housing or services and amenities, but can still benefit from our resources."
Maristone Senior Living is also spearheading the formation of a new not for profit called "Magic Memories". This 501c3 will grant wishes to qualified seniors either to help them meet basic needs or fulfill a dream come true.
